
Kara Brown, MPT, Physical Therapist
Kara brings over 27 years of experience to Preferred Physical Therapy. She earned her Master of Physical Therapy from Rutgers University in 1995 and has built her career specializing in outpatient orthopedics, pre/post-surgical rehab, posture and alignment, balance training, and Pilates-based rehabilitation. She also has advanced expertise in women’s health and pelvic rehabilitation, including incontinence, pelvic pain, and pre/post-natal care.
Kara has practiced across the U.S., working alongside leaders in pelvic health, and has extensive experience with manual therapy, myofascial release, and MET techniques. Since returning to Florida, she has focused on helping the geriatric population age with strength and independence. Her holistic approach emphasizes treating the whole body, preventative care, and empowering patients through education.
Raised in Jacksonville, Kara enjoys tennis, painting, and water sports. She has lived abroad, speaks multiple languages, and loves reading and traveling. Most of all, she treasures time with her son and family.
